CEO and Founder

Colin Fingher B Eng (Civil) CEO + Principal CID Mining Civil group Colin is the founding Principal of CID Consultants and is personally responsible for the performance of the Civil Infrastructure projects. He is a dynamic hands-on civil Engineer and Project Leader with more than 30 years experience in civil infrastructure design and contract management. His professional career has led him to develop a broad network of colleagues and also a solid reputation for successful advocacy on behalf of all clients. His diverse and versatile experience in numerous specialised areas of civil engineering has enabled him to take lead roles in significant projects throughout Western Australia. Prior to establishing CID Consultants, Colin headed up the Infrastructure Group at CCD Australia and was responsible for infrastructure projects within Australia and offshore prior to the merger of CCD and Sinclair Knight Mercer. Passionate about the business, you will find Col striving to ensure that the company continues to deliver excellence in personalised and professional services. Mining Resources

Aki Etelaaho B Eng (Civil) Diploma Architectural Drafting Diploma Management & Learning Principal Mining Resources Aki is an experienced and multi-disciplined engineer with extensive operational and business experience in infrastructure development, construction (residential and commercial), civil and structural design and resource development. His expertise extends from civil works in drainage design and urban development to structural projects in residential buildings, low and high-rise commercial and industrial buildings, schools, medical centres, shopping centre and materials handling facilities. Aki held the position of Chief Engineer for Co-operative Bulk Handling’s Technical Services Division before leaving to become a founding partner of CID Consultants with CEO Colin Fingher. As Principal Mining Resources, Aki is committed to delivering cost effective and well designed projects, along with emphasising strong client relationships as an integral part of the business. Civil/Infrastructure

Cobus Grove B Eng MIEAust. MAIPM Infrastructure Manager Cobus is a highly skilled and dedicated civil engineer with more than 20 years experience in civil infrastructure projects with specialist expertise in subdivision projects. Cobus enjoys the challenge of developing the infrastructure group and is focused on leading a team that delivers professional and accountable services to all CID civil clients. Recent projects include a subdivision in Collie consisting of 39 lots along with a semi-rural subdivision in Nannup comprising 25 residential lots and 168 rural lots. Brad Brashaw B Eng (Civil & Construction) Civil Engineer Brad is a multi-talented and diligent civil engineer providing technical support and project management in both the civil infrastructure and civil mining/resource sectors. Specialising in drainage management and stormwater design, along with modelling using XPSWMM, Brad also displays leadership qualities well beyond his years. His dedicated support to the senior engineers and his commitment to excellence make him highly successful in the following roles: project management, construction supervision, reporting and feasibility functions, cost estimates and the preparation of urban water management plans. Ash Simpson Diploma Architectural Technology & Design Adv Diploma Civil/Structural Engineering Design Manager + Lifestyle Group Manager Ash is a highly skilled and versatile design draftsman and civil project manager with proven success in leading and coordinating extensive design work on multi-disciplined projects with specialist knowledge in aged care facilities. Ash manages the Lifestyle Group, is an enthusiastic leader and enjoys being the face of the company on many challenging projects. Responsible for all communication and coordination of lifestyle village projects, Ash was also successful in coordinating the design and drafting team on the Barrow Island Concrete Batching Plant for Holcim & KJV on Barrow Island. Structural

Sanjay Patel BE(civil) Structural Group Manager Sanjay is a civil engineer with more than 15 years experience and is responsible for the management of CID’s structural group. Originally from New Zealand, Sanjay’s project expertise comprises multistorey office and residential buildings, apartments, industrial warehouses, mining towers, supermarkets, civil structures along with seismic upgrades to existing buildings. Prior to joining CID Consultants in 2011, Sanjay was responsible for the design of 30m steel tower structures, capable of lifting 1400T mills, transporting them and lowering them into their final position on a major WA mining project. Other WA projects include the Optima Centre in Osborne Park; a 6 storey and a 4 storey concrete office building with connecting concrete car parks. Building Services

Gary Wears B Eng (Civil) Diploma Architectural Drafting Diploma Management & Learning Principal Building Services Gary is a Principal of CID and is responsible for all building services projects. He is a highly respected and experienced Hydraulic service designer with exceptional project management skills. Specialising in hospital mining villages and commercial high rise, Gary has worked on many local and overseas projects and his experience is sought after by numerous clients. We have no doubt that those who have yet to work with Gary will appreciate the professional service and level of commitment that Gary is renowned for. Recent major Hydraulic projects include Aveland, 80 strata lot development and Club Hamilton in Port Hedland, 600 man motel development servicing the resource sector.
